IGSN Service Access
The ARDC IGSN service has been developed for use by the Australian research community. The service is free and may be used to assign IGSN identifiers to samples associated with Australian research.
Due to the partnership between the IGSN governing body, IGSN e.V., and DataCite, this service is offered through the ARDC DataCite DOI Consortium. This documentation is to be read in conjunction with the documentation for the ARDC DataCite DOI Service.
Existing users of the ARDC DataCite DOI Service
Existing ARDC DataCite DOI Consortium members can access the service by requesting a new IGSN Repository by emailing ARDC Services.
New users of the ARDC DataCite DOI Service
New members should follow the steps for joining the ARDC DataCite DOI Consortium.
Joining IGSN e.V.
We recommend Australian organisations minting IGSNs to consider joining the IGSN e.V. to engage with the IGSN community and work on common standards for the samples and specimens community.
