Mint a new RAiD

The process of creating a new RAiD is known as “minting”.

Once created, a RAiD cannot be deleted.

Applicability

This procedure applies to the ARDC RAiD Service User Interface.

Prerequisites

In order to do this, you will need to be an authorised Operator, Service Point Admin, or Service Point User of at least one ARDC RAiD Service Point.

Process

1. Log in to the RAiD User Interface.

2. Open the hamburger menu using the icon on the top right and select Mint new RAiD. If you are on the RAiD User Interface homepage you can instead click the MINT NEW RAID button on the bottom right.

3. You will be presented with a form in which you can specify all of the RAiD metadata. All mandatory metadata fields are pre-filled using example text.

4. Click the SAVE button on the bottom right.
