RIF-CS Schema documentation

Introduction

Technical documentation for the RIF-CS Schema is available in a table overview (below), as well as a formal XSD document. See: RIF-CS Schema Documentation.

There is a suggested vocabulary (a list of standard terms) for most RIF-CS attributes in the schema, however changes to vocabularies are not linked or tied to RIF-CS versions. See: RIF-CS Vocabularies.

Updates

The RIF-CS Schema is subject to version control (currently v1.6), and details on changes between versions are available from: RIF-CS Schema Updates.

The intention is to restrict structural updates to the RIF-CS Schema going forward. This is because each structural change imposes a cost on contributors. Any proposed changes to the RIF-CS Schema require endorsement by the ARDC National Information Infrastructure Steering Committee. If you have a suggestion for a change to the schema, please email services@ardc.edu.au.
