Metadata syndication from Research Data Australia

Research Data Australia stores descriptions of data, software and services for research from over one hundred Australian research organisations, government agencies, and cultural institutions. These metadata records (not the objects they describe) are syndicated or shared with other registries and search engines to increase their discoverability. Currently, ARDC provides cross-walks from RIF-CS metadata to the following schemas for consumption by external services:

• Data Citation Index
• Schema.org
• Scholix

ARDC also provides web services to the Research Data Australia Registry in the form of APIs and an OAI-PMH endpoint from which users can query and retrieve metadata. More information and access to these web services is available from the Widgets & APIs page.
