R30 Announcement

Release 30 of ANDS Online Services is scheduled for implementation on 4 December 2018, between 8am and 12pm AEDT. This release implements a number of enhancements to Research Data Australia (RDA), RDA Registry, and the DOI Service. Below is the list of all the changes planned for this release.

Research Data Australia

Ensure version is populated in citation if provided in citation Metadata
Hide 'Also known as' label under the record title if an alternative name is empty or not used
Fix the issue where nodes in relationship graph are duplicated when double-clicked
Optimise relationship graph for better performance and reliability
Promote visibility (in Search facet, Explore menu, Contributor page) and enhance display of collection type 'software' in RDA

DOI Service

Remove resolvable links on all test DOIs when listed and viewed under My DOIs

RDA Registry

Add service discovery workflow into Data Source Dashboard import options
Enhance OAI-PMH transaction handling to ensure that the system does not run out of memory when generating large OAI sets

Other Change

Broken Link Tool: Update the link extraction process to ensure that the correct URLs are extracted and stored

During the implementation, the following services are impacted:

Research Vocabularies Australia (RVA) portal
Handle Service
IGSN Service

The following services are not impacted and will still be available during release implementation:

RVA editor (PoolParty)
DOI resolution
Handle resolution

A soft release on Demo is happening on Monday, 3 December 2018. The following services will be intermittently unavailable during the day:

Demo RDA
Demo RVA
Handle test service
